This privacy policy explains what information is collected when you use the Milk Diary Android application and the milkkhata.com website, how it is used, and what choices you have. Both are operated by RJ Innovative Media (“we”, “us”).
Summary
- Your milk business records stay on your phone. Customer names, delivery entries, rates, bills, payments and balances are stored locally on your device. We do not upload them and we cannot see them.
- We do not ask you to create an account to use the app.
- The app shows advertisements, and the advertising provider may collect device identifiers.
- The website uses Google Analytics to understand how pages are used.
The Milk Diary app
Information stored on your device
The app stores the records you enter on the device itself: customer and supplier names and phone numbers, daily delivery entries, rates, bills, payments, outstanding balances, and any notes you add. This data is not transmitted to us and is not accessible to us. If you uninstall the app without taking a backup, this data is deleted along with it.
Photos and files
If you choose to attach a photo to an entry, or to save or restore a backup file, the app accesses only the files you select for that purpose. Those files remain on your device or wherever you choose to save them.
Backups
The app can create a backup file of your records. That file is created on your device and you decide where it is stored or who it is shared with. We do not receive a copy. Anyone who obtains the file can read your records, so keep it somewhere private.
Advertising
The free version of the app is supported by advertising served through Google AdMob. AdMob may collect device identifiers (such as the advertising ID) and technical information about your device in order to serve and measure ads. This is handled by Google under its own privacy policy, available at policies.google.com/privacy. You can reset or delete your advertising ID in your device’s Google settings. Removing ads is available through the app’s paid upgrade.
Crash and performance data
Google Play may provide us with aggregated, anonymised crash reports and performance statistics for the app. These do not identify you and do not contain your business records.
Purchases
If you buy the paid upgrade, the transaction is processed by Google Play. We receive confirmation that a purchase was made. We do not receive or store your payment card details at any point.
Children
The app is a business tool and is not directed at children. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
The milkkhata.com website
Analytics
We use Google Analytics to understand which pages are read and how visitors arrive at the site. This collects information such as pages visited, approximate location, device type and referring source. You can opt out using the Google Analytics opt-out browser add-on.
Search Console
We use Google Search Console, which reports aggregated data about search queries that lead to the site. It does not identify individual visitors.
Comments
If you leave a comment on the site, we store the name, email address and comment text you submit, along with your IP address and browser user agent string, which are used for spam detection. Comments and their metadata are retained so that follow-up comments can be recognised and approved automatically.
Cookies
The site uses cookies for analytics and, if you leave a comment, to remember your name and email so you do not have to re-enter them. You can block or delete cookies in your browser settings; the site will continue to work.
Embedded content
Pages on this site may include content from other websites, such as the Google Play store listing. Embedded content from other sites behaves as though you had visited that site directly, and those sites may collect data about you under their own policies.
Sharing
We do not sell your data and we do not share your milk business records with anyone, because we do not have them. The only third parties involved are the service providers named above — Google AdMob for advertising, Google Analytics and Search Console for website measurement, and Google Play for app distribution and payments — each acting under its own privacy policy.
We may disclose information if required to do so by law.
Retention
- App records: kept on your device until you delete them or uninstall the app.
- Website comments: retained indefinitely unless you ask us to remove them.
- Analytics data: retained according to Google Analytics’ standard retention settings.
Your rights
You can delete your app data at any time from within the app, or by uninstalling it. For any personal data held in connection with the website — for example a comment you left — you can ask us to provide a copy of it or delete it by writing to the address below. Depending on where you live, you may have additional rights under local data protection law, including the right to object to processing or to lodge a complaint with a supervisory authority.
Security
Data sent between the app and Google’s advertising and Play services is encrypted in transit. Because your business records are stored on your device rather than on our servers, their security depends on your device being protected — a screen lock and keeping your phone updated are the most effective steps you can take.
Changes to this policy
We may update this policy as the app and website change. The date at the top of this page shows when it was last revised. Material changes will be noted on this page.
